Why be more scared about a 500m than a 20 metre height (depending on the surface). It might as well be 500m in the event of a fall, except less messy.

I was under the impression that they used to use a certain tribe of Red Indians (native Americans ) for this type of work due to the fact they were not scared of heights.,What happens in General, stays in General. You know what they say about assumptions!Comment

It is a natural instinct to be scared of heights; even a baby will be scared of climbing."A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George OrwellComment

I know the point you are making, and can only say that it seems to be a personal thing for me. There is a height, which is far more than adequate to kill me should I fall, that I feel reasonably comfortable climbing to. After that.......no way Jose!!Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostWhy be more scared about a 500m than a 20 metre height (depending on the surface). Perhaps our instinctive fear of great heights developed when we were reptiles and could stand a fall of 50m or soOriginally posted by shaunbhoy View PostI know the point you are making, and can only say that it seems to be a personal thing for me.
