Mice are cute. Used to have pet mice when I was a wee lass. One grew lumps. I found it as an ex-mouse in the cage after school one day. It was years later my mother confessed to having done it in (my dad was too tight to pay for the vet to do a professional job on it). Something she bought from the chemist apparently. Glad I never got sick...Comment

To add to the home alone theme of the weekend, I am also home alone tonight. No mice or strange noises to report (yet)+50 Xeno Geek Points

It's funny isnt it ? when they are pets , they are nice and cuddly and you have lots of nice stories about them, you feed them and stroke them,
otherwise they are creepy, incontinent, scary and a real pain.
a bit like fellas I suppose

I had two pet mice, too. They had lots of babies. I got home one day, to hear screaming upstairs. I rushed up to find a scene of carnage that will be imprinted on my memory forever.
My screaming Mum was gripping my screaming sister's wrist, and thwacking her hand off the wall. My sister had a mouse attached to her hand. There was some blood on the wall, so I joined in with the screaming.
Turns out my sister (against my explicit instructions) had been playing Barbie Cars with the mice. This involved making small ramps, putting mice into Barbie's car, and whizzing them up and down the ramp. One mouse took particular exception to this game, and bit her, very hard, on that soft section of skin between thumb and forefinger.
My mother's solution was to smash the mouse's head off the wall, which worked fairly quickly. My sister's hand was damaged more by the smashing than by the biting.Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.
