    Yep, the bastards. I was at Leicester Poly, which as polys went was starting to get a good reputation with employers; then some dipstick decided it should be called 'De Montfort University', which sounds like some vague American diploma mill.

            It might save a lot of time and trouble if students could just pay for their exam results. A bit like going to public school but without the attendance part.

                Spooky, My A-level Chemisty teacher said exactly the same thing.... and was the only teacher to say that

                  A-levels were a doddle. University actually tested me, it was far harder to get top grades without turning up to lectures.
