      A bit of a non story. It is for norm for lenders not to lend for properties above take-away businesses. It only changed in the frenzy to lend to anyone for any property some years ago. When I got my first mortgage it was impossible to borrow money for any such properties included any converted flat (ie not purpose built) any property on a lease less than 50 years etc etc.
