The 3 major current consoles. PS3, Wii, Xbox360
    4 laptops (1 kids, 1 private, 2 work)
1 working gaming desktop, 1 old but functional desktop (internet only really)
    2 iphones
Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.

I was going to put 3, but I've got 4 more in cupboards.

      Time for another clearout.

I should have posted some rules at the start.

Dedicated single purpose devices like washing machines, fuel injection systems, printers, routers, sky boxes, PVRs, digital synthesizers, GPS units and so on should be excluded. It has to be a general purpose computer.

PCs & Macs should obviously be included, as should "home computers" such as the BBC Micro, ZX81, Amiga, Atari ST (and yes, the MK14), and of course other general purpose computers such as suns, crays and PDP-11s.

Devices such as NAS appliances, smart phones & consoles are more difficult to adjudicate as they fall somewhere between the two camps. I will need to think about it some more.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

I rent space on an iSeries. Does that count as equivalent to one PC?

A more interesting question would be "what do you use your computers for?"

              Anyway:
              IMAC
              2 working up-to-date laptops
              2 working but ancient laptops
              1 netbook
Some 80s home computer in the loft.

IMac used for playing about with statistical/mathematical models when I get inspired+some coding+photo/video stuff. Laptops for surfing at home. Netbook for wi-fi/working when travelling.
              Hard Brexit now!

I was going to say 2 (seriously cutting back to 1 laptop (work / home) and 1 desktop (the wifes).

But I've still got an Silicon Graphics Indy which I've not booted up in years but couldn't bear to lose.

Voted 3 to 5, then spotted an old laptop in the cupboard. 6. 7 if you include hand helds.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

                    7 laptops
4 PCs (oh, and a 386 in the cellar)
                    1 server
A number of handhelds (i.e. Psion 5mx, Palm Lifedrive, etc.)
A few consoles (i.e. Nintendo 64, Nintendo, Nintendo Gamecube, PS1, PSII, PSIII, MS xBox, MS xBox 360, a few variations of the Gameboy)
Some old home computers such as ZX81, Spectrum and Oric hidden in the cellar
                    LEO II
IBM BlueGene/L (for doing my invoices)
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

This poll is biased towards people with children.

                      I have 1 laptop.
My husband has 3 macs and an iPad (nerd!!)
                      We have a ps3, sky+, xbox, nintendo ds, 2..sorry 3 iPhones.

if I had kids, they would also each have ps3, laptop, ipPhone - they'd be right spoilt little sheisters!

And we'd probably also get sky multiroom.

Then obsiouly, we have 2 robot hoovers (which come with SDK, so technically are computers), sat nav, oooh we have a server in the office with Oracle Apps installed on it...
                      I think thats it...

                      Just the usual really!
