    oooooh yeah

    but they took catridges.....

    so no more loading and watching the hexidecimal count go up (i am sure Elite went up to 44F)

    it was like having an arcade machine in the bedroom


    although Sam Fox strip poker failed to raise well anything really.......

      Microsoft did do a programming language for kids not sure it's still going.
      There is also the lego mindstorm which can be programmed from a desktop computer

                    I too had a beloved Oric. I remember typing in programs from a bi-monthly user magazine. When 1 issue took 6 months to turn up I suspected something was amiss - unfortunately the next issue never materialised and by that time Oric was defunct.
