I ermmed and arghhed and said that it could be acceptable in extreme cases but I think the rather disjointed nature of my reply didn't impress them and I wasn't offered the position, even though my interview was otherwise flawless. I can always tell when I've done well in an interview and I can say hand on heart that I did well in that particular one except for the response I gave to the query on animal testing. I have to say that now I would never consider a contract for any establishment that engages in the practice of animal testing no matter what the reason because I no longer think the end justifies the means under any circumstances.
Just to add some levity into the discussion, I'd like to add that I did once, however, work on a good Frankie Vaughan site whilst working as a permie a few years ago. No quibbles there about any ethical issues LOL!Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment
