Same for translators and other crap Labour has infested public services with.

Friend is a teacher, he is all for striking on a pay freeze.
Why would they strike over a freeze - I was hoping there would be cuts similar to the Irish

      Irish cuts:
5 per cent for those on 30,000 euro (£27,000)
8 per cent for those earning up to 125,000 euro (£114,000).

8 per cent and up to 15 per cent for those on more the 200,000 euro (£182,00),

with the Taoiseach taking a 20 per cent cut

must say... those are impressive cuts
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

Guy is rooked, still owes me 150 quid.

The discussion ended badly when I said I pay his salary from my taxes alone. He flipped, we are still mates.

            I wasn't impressed.

But I think that Harriet Harperson is worse.

Where do the politicians come from these days?

If she switches discipline (from Secondary to Primary) I think she would start out a few grades lower. Might be worth considering if she's desperate.

                  Striking teachers.

I think you might find the NUT balloting for strike action on a pay freeze - they are nutters.

The other unions tend to be a bit more pragmatic and less left leaning.

Mrs MM has already said she won't strike over a pay cut even in the unlikely event her union votes for it (NASUWT). But then, she is almost management now.

She has went up an octave. Sounds like a drunk woman shouting at her man in the pub.

Striking when you know cuts are going to be made seems pretty dumb. But then those in charge of the unions aren't the ones who will lose their jobs when they encourage strikes... if anything it gives them more work to do.
