Read it in the 70's. Don't teach your grandmother to suck eggs.

Are you really "smiling at the pleasure I will have making a few functions run 10 times faster"?? - You do know how to enjoy yourself don't you.

Oh God - not another twat who thinks he's...

            ...the first to read Knuth?

Good God, it's been around since Moses was a baby.

It's the software engineer's equivalent of Gray's Anatomy.

And yet you pitch up like you're the first programmer who ever read it.

And you're going to do some 'real assembler programming' erm... 'next week'.

            Oh! for ****'s sake!

            Bogey

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

Atw. Your posts (not just this one) have been becoming increasingly hysterical of late.
I diagnose either need-a-shag-itis or fear-of-failure-itis or both.
You can at least fix the former, even if you have you pay.
                Hard Brexit now!

The only thing that technology has brought us is the ability to transfer jobs to India.

Hey AtW, are you still wrapped up in the minutiae of getting your search engine working, or does SKA have provision yet to track sponsored links, with a client API to let clients do the same?

I'm getting pretty intensive experience with APIs for Google, Overture, and MIVA, and shortly MSN. So if you're interested, I might volunteer to help (for a piece of the million).

No ads just yet - I am scaling it up, had update 10 days ago and will have one this week, by the end of February I will get to 1 bln pages which is reasonably respectable - I think its Top 10 in the world.

After actual search traffic will pick it will make sense to think about ads, even though I have other short-term plans on how to earn dosh from data
