Send them a letter saying:Originally posted by ChimpMaster View PostAnd that's the way I see it too, but it's not the way the company sees it. They just want their £400 before they'll come pick it up. Bullying if you may.
Just found out that it's unlikely any other company will take the skip, because it could count as theft.
1) You consider them leaving the skip on your property as unwarranted.
2) You are not responsible for the contracted monies on the skip
3) You will take them to court to enforce removal if it's not gone in 28 days.
Come back after you've done that."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment

Dig a large hole and place the skip in it level with the top, and turn it into a rather deep garden pond, or a jacuzzi.
Think outside the box (or in this case the skip).Work in the public sector? Read the IR35 FAQ hereComment

Seriously though Chimp.
Do you have any legal redress against your builder. Do you plan to sue?
If so I would suggest paying the amount and adding it in to the damages against the builder. What happens in General, stays in General. You know what they say about assumptions!Comment
