Dunno, they paid for something and they didn't get it. Why should the damn governemnt keep her money? A refund sounds reasonable.

That Angela Epstein lady might have a point, because if you look at the picture her card has "specimen" written across it, thus making it extra useless.Comment

She is an apologist for fascism. Very recently in Europe, just an hour or so on the plane or a day's drive away, many, many people with nothing to hide and no inclination to commit crimes have had an awful lot to fear from their governments. I'm not talking about nazi Germany, but things that happened far more recently in Yugoslavia, other parts of eastern Europe, and even, up until about 1980, in Spain. It probably won't happen in Britain, but when everyone starts believing it won't happen, it can.

Seriously anyone who is Jewish practising or otherwise, has Jewish relations, or has a Jewish name due to intermarriage in their family however many generations ago should be ashamed if they applied for an ID card.
The government and organisations misusing data is one of the reasons why lots of people I know refuse to state their religion, ethnicity or whatever on forms. Or state things like "Jedi"."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment
