I think England will get a wee shock against the USA, they will get through the groups but I do think they will draw that first game.

USA did beat WC favourites Spain (2-0) in the confederations cup and were only narrowly beaten (3-2) by Brazil in the final.Originally posted by minestrone View PostI think England will get a wee shock against the USA, they will get through the groups but I do think they will draw that first game.
Bookies have England at 1/2 though, funny old game.Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

The US have a history of upsetting bigger teams especially England. We could lose this one.Originally posted by minestrone View PostI think England will get a wee shock against the USA, they will get through the groups but I do think they will draw that first game.Hard Brexit now!

A completely rational man would have a bet on that at 13/2, I couldn't do it though.Originally posted by sasguru View PostThe US have a history of upsetting bigger teams especially England. We could lose this one.
Come on you bitter scots, lets see your betting slips.

US have a few good players like Clint Dempsey etc.
But I doubt they have the firepower to derail England.
My guess is a 3-0 win for England easily.Vote Corbyn ! Save this country !Comment

See GingerJedi's post above - they don'st seem to lack firepower and we're not that good at the back.
What with first game nerves, we'll be lucky to beat them 1-0 but I think a draw is more likely.Hard Brexit now!
