    dear neil,

this is not spam, rather a very distraught customer who has had enough. I will keep this brief.

On tuesday night, a sales representitive from virgin media call my home, told me how valued i was as a customer, and sold me two blackberry curve mobile phones (one for me, one for my wife) on a 24 month contact. The delivery address was confirmed, and the t's and c's would be emailed to me as well as sent by post.

Sounds great. Here's what actually happened.

One phone delivered to my old address, with a duff charger. No sign of the other phone. Called yesterday evening, twice. The girl in the call centre had such a thick foreign accent i could barely understand her.

The net outcome was that apparently there was no record of the order. (strange considering one phone has already been sent). There was no record of who rang me to sell me the phones. They cannot get into the system to look at my data as a safety measure to protect me.

Then i got hung up on while told to hold for 10 minutes.

So every route of complaint i have is fruitless, and you're now charging me for two phones, one i don't have and one that was doa.

I am seriously disappointed, which is why i have turned to you to get this sorted out.
    :d

Are you 100% sure it was Virgin who sold you these phones and not a scam ?

I've had calls about upgrading my phone but they were not from orange/carphone warehouse ?

Don't use the phone, keep it in the box, or send it back and use the distance selling regs as a way out

Yeah, it's tulip but Nick keeps blaming someone else. How the hell can we progress if he won't at least own the problem.

Anyway, I digress. My original comment was addressed at the content, not the presentation of your missive.

Nobody is going to read it anyway.

Well apart from us for the comedy value.

                  Oh! Really!???

I've been watching this with interest.

Virgin Media is on my list of clients. I set up the reporting system there including the complaint handling process. My old mucca still works there.

The process will be that all senior staff forward complaints into the CRM system. It is tagged as who internally sent it. The complaints team then drafts the response and it is sent on behalf of(you of course think you're dealing with the head man). It's all the personal touch you see.

I do really hope you've sent that email. I really really do..... I've already forwarded this thread link to him.

Thanks for the gurning muppet in the Virgin media store in Luton Arndale who is "powerless" to help.

In return, I would like to find someone in authority in VM, and thank them personally. If I can't, then I'll get someone in the DTI to pass the message on for me, when I get billed for mobile phones that I do not have, you utter utter utter tossers.

I blame lapses in Data Security. Your name is obviously on a list of Gullible Whining Lightweights, and this has been sold on to various unscrupulous agencies for the purposes of fleecing you. How many sets of double glazing do you have?
