Why oh why oh why do people insist on walking forwards towards the carriage door as you are trying to get off??? There should be a clear thoroughfare left to enable disembarking passengers to have an obstruction free disembarcation. I've written to FGW on this subject numerous times in the past but yet no action has been taken. What I've suggested is, since most main line HSTs are the same length, painting a box shaped exclusion zone in the locatiopn of the platform where the carriage door comes to rest. Have I had a reply? NO.

That's what they do in Bangkok.

I reckon this country would benefit from a(nother) Peasants Revolt, at least it would get rid of a few peasants.

No need - They've long since won.

              Most unusual.

Also it only had 7 gears rather than infinity - 1 which seems more popular these days.

However did we manage with a 3 speed sturmey-archer hub?
The world was flatter in the 1960s. Everyone knows that.

I actually met a fellow gricer on the train this morning though I'm tempted to think he is a bit of an imposter. Chap was adamant that FGW ran Pendolinos in the Western Region until a couple of years back. Can anyone shed any light on this?
