We've had this chat before. You know you get out of breath after lunch.

You're only upset because AtW's sockie is getting more of a rise than your Wilmslow one.

BTW, they're both rubbish. Come on AtW up the game a bit.

No. not racist at all, it's a cultural thing. Asians are of a different culture and their attitudes to money and business a very different to ours. I know plenty of Indians who admit this & even go so far as to say that making a quick buck is an inherent part of their culture . One guy I used to know called Ruftee used to say that if you went to the moon there would be an Indian there trying to sell you something. Actually, oddly enough, I went for a curry the other night & I paid with my credtit card. When the waiter asked me to enter my pin in the machine, he also prompted me to add a gratuity "if sir should so wish". Another example of what I was alluding to in my original comment.

<mod>What a load of bollox. All Asians? Really? This smacks of bigotry - which, while not unusual on CUK, is offensive in this context</mod>

I feel your pain, no other race in this world wants to make money. In fact everybody else gives away money and are not greedy in any sense.

            Ahem.

Racism, thinly veiled or not, is a no-no here. Wind your necks in and watch your language.

I encourage you to use the 'report post' facility if you see anything blatantly out-of-order.

            Ta.

Another game I like to play. As the train pulls into Swindon, I stay in my seat until people start getting off. Then, just as the last person gets off, up I get and head for the exit just as everyone starts piling on. Then, seeing me, they all have to back off on to the platform again to let me off and I can tell they don't like it. Gives me an incredible sense of power!

I don't suppose you saw someone lick the chutney spoon and then put it back?

He did. It was an Asian taxi driver who done it.

Well I can tell you that I've gone right off curry houses. They always want you to spend loads of money, not like the Chinese where you can pop in for a quick chop suey, only spend a fiver & they're glad of your custom. At a curry house they try to make you order puppudums & always open the menu on for you on the specials page where all the most expensive stuff is. Then, if you order a five quid vegetable biryani they get arsey. No wonder I get arsey when I'm prompted to give them a tip.
