No, not the lefty ‘want a day off’ bunch, the Union of Great Britain and that ghetto clinging to the edge of Ireland.
Is there any point in it any more?
It seems to me that the Scots want something different to the English in political terms. Not too sure what to make of Wales. The only good thing about Northern Ireland is a volcanic landscape. The sad thing is its volcanoes are extinct.
The English are overwhelmingly conservative. OK, the north is a bit more lefty, in parts, and of course there’s the Socialist Republic of Merseyside, but they’re all Irish anyway.
It is perhaps time to finally loosen the ties that bind the nations of Britain and let everyone go their own way and pay their own bills?
