Well I believe the Parties have to come up with their own funding, either through Membership subscriptions or Trade Union Fees. So it will be up to them to woo voters in whatever way they see fit. I doubt that threatening to take people's choice away is much of a vote winner.

I live in a two party town, Tory or Lib Dem.

I'm going for the former and the wife the latter, is there any good reason why we should bother at all seeing as we are cancelling each other out?
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

That's very smart thinking for a Tory voter. Well done. As you say, there's really no point in you voting at all.

Oh, and can you just pass the following note on to your wife - no need to waste time reading it yourself, it's about cooking and ironing and ladies' things like that...

Mrs gingerjedi... Vote! Vote for your life!

Tories not much better but at least Cameron will be forced to listen to the moral Right who will vote him in.

I know the answer to that one.

What you do is both promise to not vote, so you cancel each other out.

Then you sneak off and vote anyway

The cost of organising an election has nothing to do with the costs to parties of running election campaigns. The 2005 General Election cost over £80m of taxpayers money to organise.

£80m is f**k all in the grand scheme of things. The Euro Lottery Jackpot on Friday is an estimated £67m
