What pathetic polytechnic did your 2 poor A-levels get you into?
The question is about your 'aristocratic background' alluded to - was English comprehension not part of your inner city comprehensives curriculum?
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

What’s the stigma with poly? The best polytechnics were gaining a very good reputation until someone decided to rename them all.
I recall a lass from Uni days going to just such a place for a postgrad language course. Apparently it had established itself as a top notch place for practical course content and she was going to come out of the place with sufficient in-depth skills to be a technical translator.

      There's nothing wrong with that.

No, I can think for myself just fine. I just detest Thatcher for what she did to our society. She is a very bigoted woman.

She rescued society from bankcrupcy that was caused by your lot and is now about to repeat itself. As for being a bigot what evidence do you have to support that remark?

She was bigoted against the poor, then less fortunate, people from outside her cosy SE England area, and anyone who wasn't "our kind of people". She ruined the country for everyone except her rich friends.

I'm sure you've heard this many times before but just in case you've forgotten, "You haven't got a bloody clue!".
