She married a man who she clearly loved deeply and who returned the feelings. He made his money running the family business with 200 employees not by taking dodgy donations from non doms.

He was a member of Castrol of and later Burmah Oil's board and had a distinguished war record. I can't imagine him wanting to be in the same town let alone room as Lord Mandy.

At no time throughout Margaret's career was he caught freeloading or encoraging his wife to use their children as political pawns. As far as I know he never shared his shower with Carole Caplin or help sex up a dossier so we could start an illegal war. He didn't make his fortune by exploiting Human rights laws passed by his spouse. Or create a false boom by holding hard working families wages down by importing and exploiting cheap labour.

Frankly he was a million times better than the current lot of ministerial hopefuls or spouses despite an alleged liking for the odd G&T and some personal views which he tried to avoid uttering in public out of respect for his wife.

Brown was shown to be a two faced slimeball 'I have talked to Gillian' ffs. Clearly not suitable for any type of office.

The lady who bungled her heartfelt question was only guilty of 'being unaccustomed to public speaking' and will probably shortly be viciously smeared like Rose Addis was.

Tarkers if New Lie have created such a paradise why haven't you popped back to pay for it??? There are ministerial Zil lanes and you know only honourable ex minsters will serve on the big companies in future as they are 'all for hire' even before leaving office.
