I interpreted it this way; he raises the issue because he can’t remove the last cost but needs to be able to do so. I think you’re interpreting that he doesn’t want to be able to remove the last cost. One of us may be less wrong than the other. Maybe SY01 will enlighten us.Originally posted by SuperZ View PostAm I being as braindead as the devs?
There seems to be a conflict between the following in your text:
'Cannot remove the last remaining cost. No Tick.'
'BI : "There is no such requirement to remove ALL costs"'
Did you not mean "Can remove the last remaining cost. No Tick" ?
You have to be acurate and precise for the devs

The client probably sees that as a case of:
- offshore developers delivered on time and cost.
- onshore manager failed to spec correctly.
A good case for offshoring!Comment

Does a project also have revenues? If so, do the same tests on those. If you can remove the last revenue, but not the last cost, then you could try setting up a revenue (without setting up a cost) then removing the project altogether; this could really fook up the books.Originally posted by expat View PostThe client probably sees that as a case of:

Pay peanuts, get monkeys.
Not sure who is the monkey in this scenario

Nope, that all works. You cannot close a project with outstanding cost and revenue.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostDoes a project also have revenues? If so, do the same tests on those.
