How old are you now? You've done well in that you've already paid the mortgage on 2 properties and have numerous other investments, at what I presume is a relatively young age. -
This IT thing started as a hobby and turned into a career, I still feel as enthusiastic about it now as I did then. Hard to believe people want to pay me for messing around with computers
I'll still be doing it as long as I enjoy it and Plan B is healthy if I really want to wrap it.
Anyway invoicing is addictive
PS Will be 50 this year.Comment

Same here, programming ZX81s, Commodore 64s was a hobby and now I get paid to program and still love it. And game in the evenings while the other half watches Eastenders, and Touch of Frost and all that crap.Originally posted by Cliphead View PostThis IT thing started as a hobby and turned into a career, I still feel as enthusiastic about it now as I did then. Went contracting at 41. Shame, should have been earlier, if the ex-wife had had some guts and willing to take a risk with the move.
Plan to be doing it until I can afford to stop.Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.Comment
