Liked the homage to the test card in the lift, the minute it started with those 'smillers' I knew it was a Steven Moffat story - great!
I think the 'Dr your our only hope' - was an affectionate nod at Star Wars and not meant as a rip off.
I'm a big Terry Pratchet fan and yet failed to spot the similarity with A'tuin, but now you mention it .. oh yeah.

I think we're going to see some gentle nods to sci-fi films, I liked that. I wasn't saying it was a rip off I thought it was hilarious when i heard it.

Thought this episode wasn't Moffat's strongest but it did show Mr Smith's skills as an actor (less "tennentian").

The next episode should be fun.

Frankly, I'm not bothered about either any more.

A quarter of my posts never appeared, including completely on-topic requests for advice, a bunch of others have disappeared, this place is indeed like a sci-fi story. Full of weird paranormal anomalies where nothing is consistent, nothing can be predicted, no one knows who is in charge or who is going to be whisked into a black hole next.
