It's a little like reading Hitler's rise to power...
* gets the popular vote into power
* sneakily gets all other parties (mods) banned
* in charge

I have no idea what goes on behind the scenes here - I would wager that no-one apart from admin has the full view. I do have a fair idea of what goes on in front of the scenes, though, as it were.
Tonight's actions do not make pretty reading. They do not make CUK look good in anybody's eyes.
There are new rules coming - admin has assured us of that. In order for the new structure to work, people need to stick to the rules. The problem seems to be attempting to enforce the rules without us mere posters knowing what the rules are.
Admin posted in the holiday thread. If there was a problem with it, then he/she/it should have dealt with it. By not dealing with it, there is the assumption that it is acceptable. Likewise the word association thread - if there is a problem with it being in General (specifically), then it should / would have been dealt with a long time ago by the (then) moderators. I think this is a dangerous precedent to be setting, for whatever reason.
I look forward to seeing the place in the cold light of day.Comment
