Amen to that brother!Originally posted by NickFitz View PostSuityou you have stated in the past that you post with the specific intent of winding people up.
If all you seek to do here is to irritate and annoy others then you contribute nothing of value and should either go or be removed.

I hate to agree with tay, but he's right.Originally posted by tay View PostI remember when avoiding the swear filter like this led to a ban. ahh those were the days, The Faqqer got a ban for something a lot less abusive, as did Churchill.
But nowdays it is ok to name call, abuse and anything else as long as it is directed towards the right people. Makes me glum.
Ad Hominem indeed.

How you can get away with telling someone to FOAD twice in the same thread, and yet I can have a "**** off" removed (and I actually typed 4 asterisks rather than swearing) is still beyond me.Originally posted by tay View Postahhhh a very fair and accurate piece of advice. But alas I know that it would have zero effect if I reported those posts. The rules apply to different people to different degrees, and as you say, you have to learn to deal with it if you choose to frequent the board. I choose to frequent the board so I just need to be glum....
I know the new moderators do. However, I sometimes feel that those that have been moderating for longer could be more consistent in their approach. But in the fora where I moderate, I'm regarded as being harsh but fair.Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostGive it time. We need to learn the ropes first. But don't make the mistake that because certain posts and posters haven't been dealt with yet, they won't be dealt with in future... especially those who've been here a while and should know better.Comment

the trolls wind the normally sane, happy posters up to breaking point, and then call for THEM to be banned when they've had enough.

Enough now. I see NAT has been fastidiously at work. Can the collective grief givers stay away from vitriol and persistent, personal stuff. And the aggrieved use the report feature.
Testing the boundaries of the new mods before we've had a chance to fully read up on the info may result in some pleasingly random curtailments and some entertainment for admin.
