I didn't think it could be so bad. I made the classic error of being initially too cautious with the strip - was left in pain and it was still attached. I seriously considered just living with it attached. Bad times.

Caution is a bad thing when it comes to the ol' waxing.

I hate it but my eyebrows are really fair and plucking just doesn't work so I have to get them waxed and it ******* hurts like crazy!!

I recommend soaps and creams from Trumpers and Truefitt and Hill. Crabtree and Evelyn used to do fantastic soaps and creams but I have found their range has been pretty poor for the last 4 years.

Proper shaving soap is definitely the way to go but there ain't much around these days. Thats why I stopped using it because when you run out it's hard to get a replacement (when you live in the middle of nowhere at any rate).

Proving once and for all that I know nada about dermatology (the itchy-and-scratchy specialism) wouldn't it have been easier to immerse your leg in a bath of water and then remove the strip?

Hum, no idea - no use to me now anyway as I gritted my teeth and ripped it off (along with most of my skin), and never intend to put myself through that again.

For sure, it’s why I stock up. Though you can order it online and it does last ages! Let’s say 2 soaps per year at the most, you can get 2 years supply for not much.

Doesn't hurt? It's on your face there are huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge numbers of nerves there and yep, it's going to hurt like a bugger - probably more than your shin, I'm afraid (assuming that's where you were waxing )
