RC is not my main ID, my main ID - older than RC - has FAR more posts than this johnny-come-lately RC.

Define sockpuppet. Why assume the number of posts forms part of the definition? I've already said he could have a sockpuppet, that (or those) sockpuppets could be older than his RC identity.Originally posted by oracleslave View Post

I've always assumed a sockpuppet was as you intimate above, i.e. an alternative identity formed after the original one and one that plays a minor role to the main "character". Is that wrong?Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostDefine sockpuppet. Why assume the number of posts forms part of the definition? I don't think it's been defined. I would suggest the real one is the one most closely allied to the persona of the real perosn. The one that goes to a CUK party for instance, and says hey I post as XYZ.Originally posted by oracleslave View PostI've always assumed a sockpuppet was as you intimate above, i.e. an alternative identity formed after the original one and one that plays a minor role to the main "character".
