I wonder if this computer-based authentication register of real people's online pseudonyms and their inter-relationships comes inder the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 thereby requiring registration with the Data Protection Registrar? I shall leave that investigation as an exercise for Timberwolf, the 'data controller' in this instance.

IANAL but so long as nickname is not associated with actual known real known person then it is not (AFAIK) even possible to get sued for slander/libel of an anonymous nickname...

I have seen a photograph of me talking to the person that I understand is CptFantastic. Unfortunately, I was well-oiled by that point in the evening and I have no recall of it happening.

Well, the first thing it told me is that there are real people on here. I do sometimes have doubts. It might expose the odd sockie or two, for good or bad. Plus, mostly it's just a bit of fun

Just about everyone has met you Zippy, so I had no trouble finding a replacement authenticator. I have no data on whether you are shaved however.
