Admit it was a bit unfair so this one back in General now to sink or swim as readership dictates.

Football. Ech. I used to do a volunteer thing about three years ago and spent five hours a week in a van with blokes who were football mad. My sole contribution to the conversation was "Didn't Danny Blanchflower have big ears?"

Ah, but this ones a generalist question that happens to point you towards another thread that refers to the 'pub league'.

"I hope Celtic realise that, if their team is good enough, they will win. If they're not good enough, they'll not win - and they can't look at anybody else, whether it is referees or any other influence." - Walter Smith

As I understand it, the judging bit was brought in to stop jumpers using suicidal techniques to gain extra distance, and when a gold medal is at stake, some people will risk anything.

So although I agree with your general point about subjective judging, I'd let ski-jumping off the hook.

Ski Flying makes ski jumping look rather namby pamby, but isn't in the olympics. This bloke jumped 239 metres.

In answer to the original question.

Not at all and I couldn't care less if it ceased to exist completely.

I'm sick and tired of the press coverage and obsessive idiots wobbling on about it constantly.
