It looks nice to me - clean and simple.

Sol looks so happy in the photos, he must have made you very proud.

One small techie point - having your email address in plain text on the page may get you lots of spam, so might be worth just providing a 'click here' link rather than the actual address.

        Thanks for the kind words.

I'm not Sols mum but I got to know Sol very well in his short life. My missus was his childminder and Sols dad couldn't deal with things so with Mandy bringing him up single handedly, we looked after him an awful lot.

He was such a special child as many downs children are. He was always happy, despite spending much of his life connected to one machine or another. He brought a smile to all that met him and with the dad being a rugby playing copper, when he passed on, the church was full of 300+ rather large gentlemen all bawling their eyes out!

The charity was set up both to raise awareness in the local community for the problems these children face and to show the world that though they may have been born with a few problems, they face the world head on and shouldn't be treated in any way different to any other child. Mandy and some of the other trustees speak at schools and to different organisations spreading the good word. The website was designed to echo that and like I say will be expanded once I've had a couple of weeks off to rest my brain. We want to be out there both remembering Sol, telling people about Sol and the problems he faced, the trials he had so that other parents that have similar children don't despair, that they have someone to talk to and offer them support.

We also provide financial aid to those who need it, including the local special school, high dependancy childrens wards (another £5000 going to one in a couple of weeks). About 50% of the money we raise is spent in this way, the rest we distribute to parents that need specialised equipment so that they can better look after their child at home, or just trips (even respite breaks should they be needed).

I'm pretty chuffed with it, more so now that you guys who do such things for a living have said it's OK

Thanks, it was worth all of the blood sweat an tears.

Good site: the design really complements the subject & it's nicely proportioned for it.

re the email - just in case you missed our discussion on the subject: http://forums.contractoruk.com/techn...s-xyz-not.html

Made me think of this song: I don't know how well known it is outside the beardie community, and I suspect more recent sensibilities would like to change a word or two nowadays...

Or just use MS Paint to take a screen print, cut the email address out and save it as a png/jpg file and place that on your website.

              (This is help, btw... ).

The web site is clean, easy to use, and gets the message across.

I think you can be proud of that.
