    I guess I'm in a fairly fortunate position that, except for the parents, I have no real ties to the UK.

    I'm planning on spending the next 2 1/2 to 3 years saving like my life depends on it so I can take a year off and do a bit of travelling before I go, then stick a decent deposit down on a nice house somewhere in Melbourne and become a discontented permie

      It's not part of DL it's just one of the well known outdoor pools in London. And it's heated unlike Tooting Bec Lido.

      They like showing Tooting Bec Lido on TV every Xmas when the old wrinkly ladies go swimming in water with ice in it.

      BTW I refuse to try either of them. Outdoor pools in the UK are not fun as they are either too damn cold, or too crowded on the day it's hot enough to enjoy them in the year.
