It's not part of DL it's just one of the well known outdoor pools in London. And it's heated unlike Tooting Bec Lido.

They like showing Tooting Bec Lido on TV every Xmas when the old wrinkly ladies go swimming in water with ice in it.

BTW I refuse to try either of them. Outdoor pools in the UK are not fun as they are either too damn cold, or too crowded on the day it's hot enough to enjoy them in the year.

I guess I'm in a fairly fortunate position that, except for the parents, I have no real ties to the UK.

I'm planning on spending the next 2 1/2 to 3 years saving like my life depends on it so I can take a year off and do a bit of travelling before I go, then stick a decent deposit down on a nice house somewhere in Melbourne and become a discontented permie

Easily solved. Tell them you’ll be going too.

Just get yourself one of those Oracle parking passes Or IIRC they don't check at all in the Xansa car park - free Reading park and ride, anyone?

    Bit cold in Canada!

Plus, my brother's in Australia and I'd like to be in the same country

I actually spend more time in the bar and spa than I do in the gym. I can’t exercise in the evenings but Mrs Jog does. I get my Saturday morning 10k run in every week and try and go in the mornings but that doesn’t really happen much when I’m in a gig. When benched I’m there 3-4-times a week.

That's rather unsociable, don't you think?

Hmm, there’s a general idea put about that serious sportspeople don’t drink very much. I can tell you from experience that at the highest levels of many sports including rugby but even athletics (well alright, shot-put) there are an awful lot of raging pissheads. Somehow the body just doesn't seem to care what you drink until you're about 30. Not entirely coincidental that most top sportspeople stop at about 30. It's not the physical decline; it's the inability to train with a hangover that stops you.
