No you don’t. You secretly admire their ‘f**k you’ attitude to anything and everyone.

As soon as a water pistol based sentry cannon is available, we will be installing one in the back garden.

It will hopefully stop the foxes from shagging there in the summer too...

I was born in the year of the cat, so I should have some of their characteristics. I do admire their ability to walk away when that's the right thing to do, despite being armed to the teeth.

'Course another way of describing that is to say that predators are all cowards.

Yes I do. I hate them whilst secretly admiring them.
I also torment them when I've had ten pints of ale by buzzing them with my remote controlled chinook

They'll fight if they need to. A few years ago a notorious cat hater in our village managed to grab hold of a 3 month old kitten that was playing about in his garden. The cat hater is now known to everybody as ‘scarface’.

I think you'll find they enjoy it, otherwise they'd just wander off and go to sleep somewhere.

A couple of years ago we had a 10 year old kid and his mum from down the road knock on our door. The kid had 4 nice red lines down the side of his face and was crying. His mum was furious.

"We want to have your tabby cat put down as it attached my Toby (or whatever his name was)" she went on.

Now admittedly the cat was the neighbourhood bruiser and could be a little mean but would never do anything like that. My wife knelt down to Toby and said "Are you sure you didn't do anything to make the cat hurt you?"

"Well I might have pulled the cat's tail....." came the reply.

Cat - Yes. And dogs, horses, snakes, chinchilla's, rabbits, guinea pigs ( hi Pogle ) in fact pretty much all animals, and they seem to like me most of the time.

The only ones I really dont get on with are spiders.

Spiders dont really have personalities. The only spider I ever knew with a real persona was that one from Harry Potter, you know , the talking spider. And Shelob.

                      My friend would disagree.

They can be quite "bristly" at times.

And that "creepy thing they do with their legs" is just a show.

When unobserved, they actually tap dance their way along.

Which explains why they are often found near or in sinks.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
