Just need to start looking harder now (had started slacking a bit, as I'd met the client, knew the programme and felt sure that it wouldn't get canned).
They might come back, but much, much stranger things have happened.
MrsF is more annoyed than I am - just generally about how some clients treat contractors.

Bad luck Faq, at least you know you've still 'got it' and I'm sure another contract will turn up real soon.Oh, I’m sorry….I seem to be lost. I was looking for the sane side of town. I’d ask you for directions, but I have a feeling you’ve never been there and I’d be wasting my time.Comment

Are they going to pay you for wasted time and possible opportunities, or is it the same thing as in UK housing market when buyer agrees to buy stuff in writing but then pulls out without any penalties?Comment

hang in there faq. there's oracle work waiting to bust out all over the place in april. you'll be on site somewhere in may i'll be bound.Comment

Normally markets start picking up from end Jan onwards, its been very slow, with a lot of projects not getting the green light till April this year.
Also if it's any consolation my 5 irons I had in the fire at the beginning of the week, have all gone very cold.Last edited by norrahe; 5 March 2010, 17:40.Comment
