Saw one of those on the M1 on Tues. north of Sheff. in the snow, lanes 1 and 2 free of snow, lane 3 full of slutch, he went in to overtake me, his speed dropped by 30 mph in a second, it was like watching Malcolm Campbell before he flipped Bluebird on Coniston Water, mahoosive waves of grey wash in front of him...

Then another when I got to Morrison's in Leeds, it got stuck in the snow!

Our RAV4 is very capable - off road and in snow and ice.

Pretty compact, but can get enough luggage in the boot for 4 adults + camping equipment.

How about one of these? If you are looking for some proper 4x4 performance.

My neighbour just chopped his in for a new M3, poor bugger has been stuck on his drive all week.

If only he'd waited another month.

                      Discovery is the flagship.

                      Defender is the workhorse.

                      Freelander is the baby.
