Indeed HID front and LED rear on mine (although it does have some remaining filament bulbs). HID units do still have replaceable bulbs, they just last a lot longer. -
I bought a brand new BMW and asked them to give me a set of spare bulbs as I was going round Europe in it.
The box of spare bulbs: not a single one fitted anywhere on that model.

Oh, and the little switch that made the lights change for LHS and RHS driving didn't actually connect to anything. They'd forgotten to fit the assembly at manufacture.

Some are too hard for anybody. Ford especially are suspected of deliberately designing it as a garage job. It's common to have to take out the headlamp unit (likewise to reach the little switch for left/right dip, great if you're driving through the tunnel at night), and in some cases you can't do that without disconnecting the battery and removing it; in the worst cases body panels have to be removed.Originally posted by SueEllen View PostStep outside posh boyComment
