    Honouring a job well done:

A Queen’s Medal for Distinguished Service went to Cressida Dick, the Assistant Commissioner at Scotland Yard who oversaw the operation that ended with the fatal shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes.

He's already got one. They're only taken away again for really bad behaviour such as spying for the Soviet Union for decades. Fred didn't do that AFAIK.

If I recall correctly, he did get thrown out of St Andrews Golf Club, which is worse than being caught as a spy.

The Met has had special treatment from the government ever since they found the illegal second computer network installed in Number 10. Nothing ever came of that either.

So they're just scratching each others backs by covering up their respective bribes, executions, fiddles and assassinations.

Would that be the secret one peeps were talking about on the previous board and other sites?

Though not too surprised it was difficult for The Met to discover.

Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

Surely worthy of a mention on CUK:

Among them was Norman Barrett, 73, who joined the circus at the age of 12 and is now one of Britain’s longest serving ringmasters and a world authority in the training of Australian parrots. Mr Barrett, who is appointed MBE, was unavailable for comment as he was in Stuttgart, performing in a cabaret alongside 20 budgerigars.
