I was trying to remember the name of a famous actress. I can see her face, but the name is on the tip of my tongue.

There was a film she was in , mid 70s I would say, with her stranded on a desert island. I think the male part may have been oliver reed but I'm not certain.

Her first name is something like jacqueline, and her surname is strange, like Binoche or some such.

As I say, really vague and it's bugging the heck out of me.

The actress stranded on a desert island with Oliver Reed was Amanda Donohoe. The film was Castaway and it is from the mid 1980s. I am surprised that it is her face you can remember.

There is a French actress called Juliette Binoche, she was in "The English Patient". I don't know that she has done any desert island films but certainly didn't do any in the seventies.
