Condensation

Condensation is caused by warm moist air on cold smooth surfaces. The best and permanent way to solve it would be to batten the guilty wall and use insulation board (like plasterboard but green colour). You can either paper over it or skim plaster and paint. Quick and dirty way is to use a thermal wallpaper liner.
Use a mat paint.
It may not be condensation especially if it is on an outside corner.
It could be a bridged cavity,
Bad or missing roof tile.
Leaking felt, gutter etc."A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George OrwellComment

I had an issue with condensation in my house....the condensation was so bad that the clothes in my wardrobe would get wet! Anyhow, I was told there was a leak from the roof and I spent a small fortune getting the 'leak' fixed. The problem still remained. What worked wonders was getting an air vent fitted in the wall. I think the metal window frame was too snug fitting or something. But...then again...you say you have already tried fitting an air vent.Comment

My wife thinks my aim is off.
Cue my mother buying me vinyl floor covering. It irked me greatly that she thought my aim was off, but a free floor was a free floor.Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.Comment

And at the time I was living in a house rented from a bachelor ... where the chrome was peeling up from the plughole.
