I am told (by someone on CUK, IIRC) that peeing in the sink takes the chrome plating of the plug hole.
And at the time I was living in a house rented from a bachelor ... where the chrome was peeling up from the plughole.
Edit: found it:
Reminds me of a story I heard about to old brothers who lived with just themselves. Their toilet broke, and they were too skint/tight to get a plumber so they put a couple of slats across the bath and used the bath for both ones and twos.

This reminds me of an episode of that programme on the Beeb - A Life of Grime, I think.
Caught a clip where the health team were visiting a pair of brothers who lived alone. Their mother had died and since then, the house had become filthy - and I mean filthy. It was an absolute tip.
The brothers had psychological issues since their mother died which meant they had a fear of loss and now never threw anything away which included bodily excrements. The house was littered with bags/bottles of festering piss and poo. Just watching it made me want to wretch.
Felt sorry for them - this was the second time the health team had to gain a court order to clear their house as it posed a health hazard. The good thing was they were going to be taken into care this time.
