I always thought he was great on The Big Breakfast.

And I liked Zig and Zag

It can only ever be b)

Todays J&J was in a similar vein, I can't remember the exact transcript but it centred around an Indian meal with John having to explain a 'sweet lassi' on the table who didn't like the 'aloo' but preferred a 'golden shah' with 'hot peas'.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Mark & Lard used to be equally disgusting, though slightly more directly.

Terry Wogan was ok apart from the almost constant wobbling on about Children in Need reaching a frenzy in November.

I'm not impressed by Chris Evans.

I'm impressed by his ability to generate an air of self importance and disguise the fact that he's an annoying git

Evans has become less of the unboubted arse he was for years. That whole Gazza, Baker, Evans period and not turning up for work made him out to be a complete cock, he was obviously using cocaine heavily in my opinion. I don't hate him now like I use to, he seems like he has taken 45 years to grow up.

The problem with his show is that he cannot just sit and talk for an hour and keep you entertained like old Terry did, he relies on people being there on the phone or in the studio. He gets swiftly booted off the radio when he has the women call up to say what car they drive. Having a child phone up every day to tell you what he did for the first time is just not entertaining.

That 2 hour commute was almost OK with Sir Terry on the radio.

Silly question perhaps, but why do we need a Disc Jockey in the first place ?

Surely they can plan a 2 hour playlist like you can with Windows Media Player, press "play" and jobs a good 'un.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

"he said I would appreciate the golden shah more if I got down on the floor"

The Janet & John numbers are the funniest things on the radio, I would be on the train almost dribbling as they were read out. I have the first CD and will probably get the next few. I was happy to hear they are being kept for his new show.
