Hate people who steal works of art or historic items that can't be replaced. Sooner they just killed people anyday, plenty more of those.

Shouldn't Auschwitz be left to rot anyway? I'm not really sure what message is being sent by maintaining it.

Go and see for your self. It is a chilling example of human cruelty. It also explains a great deal about how people's minds work............ generations of people will learn hugely from its existence and thus prevent recurrences of such behaviour.

              Close by?? Where?? Krakow perchance?
I worked in Katowice 12 years ago for about 6 months and visited Auschwitz on a couple of occasions. Spooky surreal place.
There don't seem to be any depths people won't stoop to nowadays!

Same could be said about New Labour.

How do you know it wasn't Auschwitz survivors returning to tear it down?

Never happen. You know how the human psyche works.

If you placed a big red button in Trafalgar square under a sign with "Do not press this button, it will start a chain reaction that will destroy the world" written on it. Someone would press the button within ten minutes.

Before they tested the first atom bomb, it was determined that there was a 50/50 chance of it igniting the Earths atmosphere and destroying all life on Earth..........................................
