Do you watch Air Crash Investigations? I've stopped since I started flying on a weekly basis.
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

    I preferred version 1!

Yes because Final Destination is an accurate depiction of real life.

speaking of flying I flew with Air South West down to Plymouth the other week in high winds

              thought i was gonna die

lady on seat opposite me started screaming for ast 30 seconds of the flight

wind was so strong when we were coming into land i could see the run out of my side window.

everyone was very pale and quiet when collecting their baggage

You probably won't want to look at this site then.

                      http://www.airdisaster.com/

Their accident database is very good and I find the low number of incidents involving first world airlines over the last twenty years or so quite a comfort.
