Xmas tree vs radiator

i was wondering if anyone knows what distance the above two should be from each other to give the tree a fighting chance....i've never had a real tree before, i know, i must be a chav

Get a plastic tree, some of them look pretty good these days (and even M&S sell them)

A lot less hassle plus you can keep it in the loft till next year

Keep the tree as far away as possible. Mine goes in the (unheated) conservatory.

Can you isolate, i.e. turn off, that radiator without affecting the heating in that room too much. Are there other radiators in that room.

On a side note. If you want some real fun after christmas take your tree in the garden and set fire to it. Tip: you need a fair bit of room.

In this instance - assuming your tree has to be near a radiator - do not bleed them.
