                Fish don't like bubbles & noise. Re-breathers have little of either.

                Also, a three hour dive on open circuit will require 5-7 tanks of different mixes depending on your max depth. In theory, the rebreather and it's associated computer can work all of that out for you.

                    • Greater 'downtime' - you could be there for hours at 10 meters if you wanted.
                    • Better marine experience because the critters aren't frightened by your bubbles (although manta rays are slightly disappointed because bubbles tickle...)
                    • Better photography (see above)
                    • Most importantly - no nitrogen narcosis below 30m...
