Ok, just got off the 'phone to an agent who's recruiting permies for a role in Gateshead...

Pro's and Cons please.

I'll start with a Pro...

Could go out on the piss with SA at the weekends...

Last time I was in a permie job ten years ago I spent quite a bit of time at a customer site in Gateshead.

In its favour I can say that late at night the industrial estate where we were is a great place to practice handbrake turns in your company car, especially if it has been raining.

But I can't think of anything else.

If you're thinking about moving up that way...Durham is quite nice - short commute but nice cathedral city - from that way myself - PM me if you want any info on areas...

Durham was the first city in the UK to have a congestion charge, IIRC.

And full of bloody students that wanted to get to Oxford but couldn't get in.
