    Thanks, Doctor.

      Not just people

Somewhere in TPD within the past year I posted about a number of simple things that could be done to speed the forum up and reduce the amount of bandwidth required to serve it. Now that I've got a copy of vBulletin I find that some of the most obvious are options in the Admin Control Panel, and are described in the vBulletin forum stickies, meaning they are trivial to apply.

None of them appear to have been done.

Or just let LR posts count, just in case that impacts the performance. I bet it does, as the display would have to do two counts - total and then LR and subtract the two.

          Worth a punt.

            Never had a problem...
Who has time? Who has time? But then if we do not ever take time, how can we ever have time?

So: Better 4, Worse 8, No change 13.

See how subjective these things are?

Not really; can I seek some other opinions?

I've just opened five threads in separate tabs and they all timed out.

                    Same in IE.

Was it five copies of TPD?

                      Thought not

Was that the outage I logged?
