That also occurs on the A40. Filthy hags holding babies in one hand and the other held out for money; often it is clear the babies cannot be theirs. My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think. -
No need to give them any money and I never said to do so.Originally posted by TonyEnglish View PostAnd if you give them money you make it profitable for those forcing them into it.

Loads of them doing it in Ireland too - it's hard not to feel sorry for them but surely life can't have been worse for them back in Romania or wherever. The poor babies getting handed round a group of women and used as a tool to beg, it's horrible.Bazza gets caught

Dickens wrote some stories about what happens in such cultures to highlight their plight to the general public. It is horrible indeed. We are only seeing the public face of it; what is going on that we cannot see?
What happens to these babies when they become a burden that needs feeding? Are they thrown in the Thames or trained to pickpocket? That is the reality of begging. That's where we're headed if it is not stopped. My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.Comment

you must be joking. Lack of food is hardly a problem for professional beggers, and the kids ? they are a valuable investment, it's not the Thames for them, it's a lucrative pitch near Camden underground station with their very own bedraggled puppyOriginally posted by RichardCranium View Post

I knew a busker once who played violin, not the same I know, but they said by having a good pitch at the right time they could do £40/hr and this was around 10 years ago.Comment
