Anyway, any good programmer knows that it's better to say there are <n> types of anything.Comment

oh boy ... reading everything above ... all sounds SOOO boring ..
On an interview if I am asked about the table key , I would say:
"What should be the primary key ? FFS be it whatever the first thing seems reasonable to be , or google it FFS. "
Do you think I will pass it ?
My brain is completly math incapable... said in other words ....illogical. I kid you not me only knows plus and minus mathematic operations , and find it difficult to do in my head.
But still , me thinks with google in my back pocket , there should be no programming tasks beyond my ability !
So I guess I dont want to become what I call hard-core programmer - you know the kind of guys that argue about the keys and stuff . I want to become the guy that is able to talk to and understand a programmer.
Hard-core programmers are being outsourced right now - straight to where the infrastructure guys have gone.
Coming from sharepoint infrastructure I plan to " mildly specialize" in Sharepoint development , .net , asp.net , VS 2010 and VS 2008 , some UML , XML and CSS. I have already used these to a degree.
It is pretty common strategy but hey .... Microsoft is still the bot feeding corporate techies.Last edited by juststarting; 3 November 2009, 12:20.Comment

For his Matura, my son is analysing the Russian card game "Durak". To help him with this, I'm writing a simulator for the game - all he has to do is create different implementations of the strategy interface, and write the stuff to collect results. What I'm doing has nothing to do with databases.
For my client, I'm developing a program that updates the user profile with their email address, via an Active Directory web service. The update of the profile is via a Data Access Object, so, again, I don't interact with the database.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment
