So, you havent done a particular specialist part of your role for 18months.
Working through recruitment consultant X for consultancy Y which in the end will be delivering for Client Z.
So if you havent done this type of work for 18months or so and feeling a bit rusty on that application. Naturally consultancy Y wants to deliver to the client but you feel you may not be upto scratch at the moment.
Do you not go for the role? Or can you negotiate with consultancy Y. I'll make you deal, let see how the first month goes, and if I cant deliver in that first month(perhaps even at a reduced rate) what is required then we can cancel the contract. (I know I have the skills as they taught me what to do but simply it;'s been a while since I have done this type of work). but if can deliver then business as usual. i feel it's a fair compromise given the time gap.
