You might as well say it spiked after Jesus was born - pick any date in the past BEFORE the spike and it was AFTER that date - you sure good with stats

The real spike started AFTER stupid war in Iraq - starting in 2003: perfect reason for speculation on fear of supplies being hit.

That was the iniital spike. And clearly a straightforward supply and demand issue, OPEC cut off supply
It continued after they had restored supply, when Iran went "unstable" and later when Iran-Iraq went to war.

2 different reasons, Shows how the price of oil is sensistive to a variety of issues and not as simple as the autistic CUK simpletons think.

Any statistician will tell you correlation does not prove causality. There may be a confounding factor.

Let's just say that I would feel comfortable putting all my money on oil price rising if I knew the US or Israel were going to bomb Iran tomorrow.

          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1973_oil_crisis

"The 1973 oil crisis started in October 1973, when the members of Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries or the OAPEC (consisting of the Arab members of OPEC, plus Egypt and Syria) proclaimed an oil embargo" in response to the U.S. decision to re-supply the Israeli military" during the Yom Kippur war; it lasted until March 1974.[1] OAPEC declared it would limit or stop oil shipments to the United States and other countries if they supported Israel in the conflict. "

Was this "Yom Kippur war" war with Iran as guru asserts? Let's have a look:

          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yom_Kippur_War

"The Yom Kippur War, Ramadan War or October War (Hebrew: מלחמת יום הכיפורים‎; transliterated: Milẖemet Yom HaKipurim or מלחמת יום כיפור, Milẖemet Yom Kipur; Arabic: حرب أكتوبر‎; transliterated: ħarb October or حرب تشرين, ħarb Tishrin), also known as the 1973 Arab-Israeli War and the Fourth Arab-Israeli War, was fought from October 6 to October 26, 1973, between Israel and a coalition of Arab states backing Egypt and Syria. The war began with a joint surprise attack against Israel by Egypt and Syria on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in Judaism. Egypt and Syria respectively crossed the cease-fire lines in the Sinai and the Golan Heights, which had been captured and occupied by Israel since the 1967 Six-Day War.[13]"

          Where is Iran in it?

RETARD SASGURU - IRANIAN REVOLUTION was in 1979!

Before that it was run by a good to the west king.

That's it - conclusive proof that sasguru got no clue history wise, not that we needed one.

I don't analyse it using correlations (something I know more about than you think): I know for fact that at the time market news were full of fear - TRADERS were quoting that as reasons. Pretty decent ones for the first couple of years to be fair - any serious conflict with Iran would have resulted in cut off in supply, but after that it was complete speculation of people who wanted to get rich via stocks - people like you.

No, I am not bitter as I did not want to be part of it in the first place.

If you weren't such an autistic moron, you would try to understand what people are trying to say and also understand your own stupidity.

Look at the graph you posted. The last oil price spike started with the Yom kippur war and continued with the Islamic revolution in Iran and further continued with the Iran-Iraq war.

Kapish? Different reasons but any instability in the Middle East, potential or actual, always eems to raise the price of oil.

Now don't you have a company to run or have you given up with that?
